Overview The Investment and Client Applications group seeks a Quality Assurance (QA) Lead Systems Analyst who will be responsible for overseeing the QA strategy, testing, processes, deliverables and staff for the Client Apps program.
Responsibilities
The individual will report to the Manager of QMC within Enterprise Delivery Center. The individual will:
· Lead the QA efforts on various projects. Participate in System, SQL, data, functional and user acceptance testing.
· Lead a team of approximately 3-5 onshore/offshore staff.
· Assess current QA process and identify plan to implement "best practices" to improve test approaches, deliverables, metrics, automation, tools, communication, procedures, etc.
· Develop and review various QA deliverables created by team members including test plans, test scenarios, test results, etc.
· Interface directly with other teams including system analysts, software engineers, and program management.
· Update regression test suite based on new releases.
· Publish QA Status reports.
· Stay current with evolving industry and technical trends within the QA domain.
· Partner with other IS teams including Equity, Fixed Income and Derivatives on an integrated test plan.
· Document and track testing issues and proactively communicate status to the project team and other key impacted parties.
· Work closely with the strategic consulting firm that is providing program management for CA to improve the QA program overall.
Required Skills: The ideal candidate will have excellent technical, management and communication skills and possess strong experience in QA testing and analysis.
Specific requirements include:
· 7-10 years as a QA Analyst
· 5-7 years of team management and leadership experience
· Extensive knowledge of full QA lifecycle
· Experience leading an offshore QA team is required
· Experience writing test strategies, system and user acceptance test plans and documenting test results
· Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
· Experience with Back end testing using SQL/PL SQL is required
· Investment application experience such as Fixed Income, Trading, Portfolio Management or Compliance tools is a strong plus.
· Experience with testing tools such as QTP, Silktest, HP Quality Center, Rally etc.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment
· Diplomatic and "driver" type person
· Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively with aggressive deadlines
· Computer Science degree or related field
· Oracle database knowledge is a plus
