Overview:
The Sr. Systems Analyst - OBIEE, acts in the design and
implementation of various BI projects, applications or initiatives. The Top
performers in this type position are capable of critical decision making in a
real time environment. They will use their ability to influence outcomes and
decisions by strategic relationship management. They will take action, and see
issues through to completion.
Responsibilities:
The Sr. Systems Analyst for OBIEE will play a key role
within an Oracle Business Intelligence team which may consist of 2 - 5
employees from the Information Services staff and reports directly to a Project
Leader or Manager within Applications Development.

knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals, experience with large
databases/data warehouses in a team environment.
◾Ability
to build and maintain strong relationships with in-house clients. Provide
service, manage expectations and scope while holding in-house clients
accountable for meaningful participation in process.
◾Outstanding
interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability
to communicate with customers, management, and technical staff.
◾Produce
documentation and facilitate reporting requirements. Track and resolve issues
effectively on assigned work.
◾Understand
which issues need to elevated above the implementation team. Provide timely
feedback to management in order to avoid unnecessary delays in project
schedule.
◾Gather
information, make sense of it, problem / issue resolution and solution
definition. Inclusive of conducting detailed business analyses.
◾Provide
technical support to internal customers across all related departments.
◾Provide
level of effort estimates for new project work, enhancements and fixes to
manager.
◾Coordinate
and support users, system, performance, and regression testing efforts through
an internal ticket system.
◾Technical
thought leadership supporting Oracle OBIEE Architecture and Report concepts.
◾Coordinate
and perform code reviews and unit testing processes.
◾Interface
and work closely with ETL management and DBA's to design and implement shared
data architecture.
◾Maintaining
standardized Oracle OBIEE design, development, testing, and deployment task
documentation.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science,
technical, or analytical major required.
•5-8+ years of consulting, IT, and/or equivalent Oracle
Business Intelligence experience.
•Extensive recent OBIEE architect and development
experience with OBIEE 11g, including hands on experience with Oracle BI
Interactive Dashboards, Oracle BI Administration, Oracle BI Answers, Oracle BI
Delivers, Oracle BI Publisher.
•Experience implementing of two or more of the above
systems into corporate solutions. Experience should include configuration,
design and development.
•Strong knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals,
experience with large databases/data warehouses in a team environment.
•Strong knowledge and experience with physical layer
implementations, semantic layer architectural strategy and presentation layer
configurations.
•Good working knowledge of and experience with logical
and physical database design principles and procedures.
•Prefer knowledge and experience of wholesale and/or
retail industry; understanding procurement, merchandising, financial, warehouse
and retail systems a plus.
•Expertise in SQL, with a focus on performance tuning.
•Other Desired experienced data warehouse implementations
with one or more of the following: Teradata, Oracle, and Informatica Designer.
