Under minimal supervision, designs and codes databases, tables, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports, Additionally performs database tuning, query and index optimizations. Writes database design documents including entity relationship diagrams (ERD's). Participates in designing and implementing data warehouse, business intelligence solutions, database server and database storage. Works closely with developers, analysts, and business users to understand business requirements and translate those requirements into refined, easy to use information tools and solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information systems, information management, or similar area preferred.
Typically, 6-10 years experience in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of complex business intelligence solutions.
Skills:
Expertise with Microsoft BI stack, including SQL Server 2008/2008R2, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Performance Point, Power Pivot, Share Point, Report Builder, and MDX. Other data warehousing and business intelligence skills desired: master data management, data modeling, hardware/software architecture, data cleansing and quality, dashboard and scorecard development, third-party reporting platforms, and performance tuning.
Microsoft Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence Technology Stack Experience including:
- SSRS
- SSAS
- SSIS/ETL
- MOSS/PerformancePoint
- SQL 2008 R2
- Cube design & development
- MDX queries
- Partitioning
- OLAP, ODS
- Data modeling techniques, logical and physical database design
