DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

• Accounting & Financial knowledge & experience in connection with DB and application development
• Database experience (5 years min.) of at least two (2) databases
o MySQL
o MS SQL Server
o Other
• Database tools, at least one of the following (1-year min.)
o MySQL Workbench
o TOAD
o or equivalent
• Experience implementing up-to-date industry standard procedures and schemas for the majority of the following:
o Naming conventions
o Revising DB schemas for consistent use of terminology, naming, etc.

Defines data/information architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects. Facilitates consistent business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, archiving and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security and change management at the enterprise level. May require an associate's degree in a related area and 0-1 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Scope: The focus of the Technical Specialist/Developers will be to assist with the upgrade to PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 as well as to provide production support and continued development and testing of PeopleSoft Financials and related applications. The resources will retrofit objects as needed for the upgrade and when applying maintenance packs. Integration Broker, application messaging, and other integration functionality may be utilized. The Technical Specialist/Developers will be developing new reports and customizations, updating existing reports and functionality, and providing analysis and troubleshooting. Additional responsibilities include making sure the upgrade works with the existing voucher scanning solution which includes interfaces with Oracle WebCenter Imaging and Content applications. The Technical Specialist/Developers will assist the PeopleSoft support staff, working directly with the 9.2 upgrade team, the other developers, system administrators, and functional teams.

Skills:

Experience with PeopleSoft Financials version 9.2 and tools 8.55 and/or later versions including demonstrated experience with Fluid features.
Experience with some of the modules: Asset Management, General Ledger, Commitment Control, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and the Purchasing suite of modules;
Using Integration Broker and application messages to integrate PeopleSoft Financials with another application.
