Reporting:  Position will report to FedACH Development Manager for Payments Software

Date Needed:  ASAP

 

Responsibilities:

 

1.        Will join the FedACH Payments development team, with focus on complex J2EE high-volume transactional applications.  Work environment may include a mix of agile and UP programming methodologies, collaborative work environment, and iterative development with a high level of team interaction.

2.        Primary responsibility will be collaborative J2EE development on our core payment processing applications, including instrumentation for performance and monitoring for event-driven transaction processing software, as project tasks dictate.  Significant emphasis on development of high performing, high-volume transaction processing code.

3.        Develop software on WebSphere/Eclipse J2EE platform.

4.        Works closely with the entire project community to define business and technical requirements for enterprise information systems or J2EE compliant applications. Communicates moderately complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.

5.        Proactive communication with team members and management is essential as some key tasks may include issue identification and resolution, status updating, analyzing and reporting on alternative design solutions, etc.

6.        Performs research activities with a focus on complex business systems, automated systems development, enterprise information systems, and/or project enhancements with Bank and System-wide impact. Identifies and analyzes operational impacts of new projects, services, infrastructure, enterprise information systems, and automated systems.  Addresses moderately complex customer problems and/or issues as necessary.

7.        Provides technical leadership.

8.        Supports the manager with proposals for business system changes.  Provides input to the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and safeguards.

9.        Assists in coaching/mentoring more junior developers in the development and implementation of automated solutions.

10.   Responsible for estimating, tracking, and reporting status on tasks.

11.   Development activities as project tasks dictate.

12.   Participation in on-call rotation for after-hours support when system goes to production.

 

 


Required Skills and Experience:

 

The person selected will be part of a team developing software for our Core Payment Processing applications and will have experience with designing solutions crossing multiple platforms and technologies.  These projects involve taking an existing project plan and requirements and refining both through active communication with others on the team and project management.  The person must have demonstrated excellent application programming and testing skills, and superlative interpersonal and communication skills - must be a team player.  The person should have experience in developing high-volume transaction processing systems.  Specifically:

 

1.        Require eight years of information technology experience to include six years application development and testing experience in a distributed environment with diverse technologies.

2.        Require 5 years J2EE development experience.  Prefer WebSphere development experience.

3.        Require 4 years UNIX experience (Solaris and/or AIX).

4.        Require 3 years experience developing using Agile methodologies

5.        Require formal training in object-oriented methodologies and 4 years experience with object-oriented design

6.        Require demonstrated experience building and implementing software solutions and design patterns requiring complex technologies in an enterprise environment requiring integration between the mainframe and distributed platforms. 

7.        Must have experience resolving complex system problems in a team setting, including evaluation of options to determine optimal solution.

8.        Prefer high-volume transaction processing experience (5,000+ transactions / second).  Should have experience with tuning high-volume applications for performance and instrumentation of code for tuning and monitoring.

9.        Require 3 years Oracle development experience

10.   Experience with JPA, Spring, WebSphere MQ (P2P and pub/sub), and Wicket a plus

11.   Experience using Ant, Maven, and SVN (Subversion)

12.   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  1. Strong conflict resolution skills using a win/win approach.
  2. Communicates proactively in a project environment with colleagues and management on a wide variety of project issues.  Key skills include mentoring experience, issue identification and resolution, status updating, and analyzing and reporting on alternative design solutions.
  3. Communicates effectively on complex technical matters to non-technical audiences, including the FRS business community.  Communications could include presentations, training, documentation, memos, etc.

13.   Demonstrated skill in estimating and tracking progress of tasks, as well as in making recommendations for adjusting project plans as needed.

2.        Build of core payment processing services in a J2EE environment as project tasks dictate.

I am working on SharePoint/.NET Developer contract role. We have the exclusive on this one and are the only vendor that will be filling it. This one is a replacement for the short-term SharePoint role we had out before. The manager got some additional funding and the initial contract will be for 4 months and all the work will be done onsite in Dover, DE. The client uses VB.net, not C#, so please make sure any candidate submitted has VB.net experience.

 

Process is phone followed by a F2F. Targeted rate is around $55/hr.

 

DNREC is looking for a resource with good experience using SharePoint Foundation to work on SharePoint Workflows and setting up Project Management pages on their Intranet SharePoint server.

Additionally, they have a couple of small .NET projects that this resource will also be able to complete.  

They expect to need this resource for a total of about 3-4 months.

Skill needed are: SharePoint Foundation, SharePoint Workflows, Project Management Pages, ASP.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript and SQL Server 2005.

Any experience with MVC, Ajax and/or SQL Server 2008 will be a big plus.

Migration of configuration and program changes from the SAP development systems to test, and then to the production system.

This includes:
Serving as the primary migration analyst on a day- to- day basis
Working with SAP functional and technical specialists to ensure changes maintain the integrity of the global SAP system/environment
Working with other migration team members to ensure that all migration shifts are covered
Working with other migration team members to train new members and assist with troubleshooting
Accountable for meeting audit requirements for changes and responsible for providing documentation on changes when requested by Auditing. Includes periodically reconciling between SAP and change requests to ensure all changes are documented and approved
Participation in the after-hours callouts rotation
Monitor Remedy and work with end-users to resolve issues reported
Manage SAP documents in Service Desk's Knowledge Center
Provide support for Global SAP Services web
Provide back up support for Lotus Notes databases used by Global SAP Services. Includes researching alternatives to Lotus Notes and assisting with conversion and implementation of replacement products
Provide back up support for SharePoint Administration and ERP Committee updates/communication
Good understanding of basic SAP functionality and landscape
Legally authorized to work in the United States

For this one, we are looking for someone who has STMS experience (actually MOVING transports, not just creating them); the problem is that this is part of the basis skill set and we don't need someone with the complete skill set, just STMS. That one was sent to LTI

Length of Assignment:  This assignment is for an indefinite period consisting of ongoing projects.  The first project is anticipated to last up to 3

Location:  AEP Headquarters, Columbus OH

Position Description:  webMethods Integration Developer

 

Description and Skills

This individual will augment the webMethods Integration team at AEP with the development of webMethods based integration solutions between various internal and external systems.  The candidate is expected have strong development skills in WebMehtods 6.5 & WebMethods 8.x with expertise using development tools such as Modeler, Developer, Designer – Service and Process Development, My WebMethods Server, Trading Networks using Flat Files, XML and EDI formats.  Strong knowledge and experience using SOAP WebServices (various methods and handlers), XML and EDI is required.

webMethods 6.5 Process Modeling experience is required.

 

Base Skills

-     Experience developing SOAP based WebServices  and integration solutions within the WebMethods 6.5 & 8.2 Integration Platform

-     Experience with developing SOAP and HTTP based handlers and dealing with a variety of different methods and tools using SOAP/webservices (RPC, Doc Literal, SOAP Message RESTful services etc)

-     Experience with webMethods 6.5 Modeler for process model development (BPM) and webMehtods Developer for flow services, java services, schemas, specs, document types, canonicals, broker triggers

-     Experience with the webMethods Broker – Good understanding of configuration, client groups, clients, APIs in the WmBrokerAdmin package

-     Experience with WebMethods BPM, My WebMethods server, TN Console and Portal Development is preferred

-     Experience in core JAVA development to write java services and frameworks

-     Experience with B2B Integration solutions including different communication protocols

-     SOAP, HTTP/S, FTP/S, Data Security and encryption using PGP and X509 certificates and general other B2B integration aspects

-     Experience with WebMethods Trading Networks for Partner Profiles. Doc Types, Processing Rules, TPAs etc and development of gateway services

-     Experience being involved in a migration effort from 6.5 to 8.2 is preferred

-     Working experience around the peripheral technologies including PL/SQL, Unix Shell, Perl (preferred), XSLT

-     Experienced with skills in the webMethods mapping area using Flat File Layouts, Dictionaries, EDI Transactions

-     X12 850, 80, 855,865, 856, 840, 843, 810, 820 and 997. Experience of handling XML documents, parsing and writing java services and developing Flat File Dictionaries, Schemas and Large file handling and parsing services

 

Additional Desired Skills/Experience:

-     Experience with the CAF / Portal development

-     Experience with webMethods Deployer

-     Experience with WebMethods workflow/Task Engine
