SharePoint Administrator
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6+Month
Job Function
The SharePoint Administrator provides advanced operational administration support for SharePoint Farm, SharePoint Applications, IIS, and SharePoint Windows Systems.
Must have in depth SharePoint, IIS and Windows Server administration skills, including
SharePoint and IIS installation, configuration and advanced troubleshooting experience.
Will install, configure, maintain, and optimize SharePoint environments, and implement new SharePoint technologies.
Will also provide in house technical support as well as contribute ideas for SharePoint applications in support of Business needs.
Responsibilities
The position requires broad-based System administrator experience and proven track record in:
· Maintenance of SharePoint Enterprise environment
· Resolve SharePoint, IIS, OS and application level problems (debug issues) and client's support problems
· Perform and automate SharePoint environments and SharePoint applications monitoring
· Maintain SharePoint configuration management
· Create SharePoint support policies and procedures
· Document SharePoint Enterprise environment and application configuration
· Respond to SharePoint server and enterprise application maintenance calls
· Plan and implement SharePoint systems installations and upgrades
· Develop SharePoint server and Enterprise system standards
· Require to work some weekends, evenings, and nights as well as be available for "on-call" support
· Deploy code / configuration between environments
· Other projects as assigned by management
Skills/Experience
· 5+ years industry experience in Microsoft SharePoint application administration
· In depth knowledge of SharePoint, IIS and Windows Server administration
· In depth knowledge of Windows networking and authentication, particularly Kerberos
· Monitoring of disk space, backups and other repetitive tasks
· IIS Manager and IIS 6/7 architecture
· Server Manager and its functionality
· Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Group policy management (including LDAP queries)
· DNS, SMTP, MS SQL Server
· Understand Network Load Balancing (NLB) architectures
· Knowledge of Windows Firewalls
· Advanced knowledge of Event Viewer, Performance Monitor, and reading SharePoint logs
· Advanced skills in resolving SharePoint client computer issues
· Advanced experience in installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting Windows SharePoint Systems
· Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
· Experience in scripting using PowerShell
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project time lines
Educational Requirements
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
