Work Site:  Harrisburg, PA

Description:             

Job Title: Business Process Manager - Product Costing and Plant Accounting Overview: The Business Process Manager acts as a bridge between a business process area or discipline and work being done in Information Services. Responsible for documenting the current and optimal processes, defining performance metrics, and identifying and resolving process gaps. Has a strong understanding and experience in the SAP methodology. Responsible for mapping the business processes to SAP (and other solutions) and participates in user acceptance testing. Involved in the creation of documentation and training materials and may deliver training during implementation. Works very closely with the business especially during implementation. Serves in a system support role. This position understands accounting and GAAP principles and the business strategy of the manufacturing accounting and stock valuation/ product costing areas and works with the team to define business requirements and implement solutions while communicating and coordinating with other team members, customers and management across the IS organization and business to ensure appropriate integration of processes and modules.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Meet with any combination of customers and IT staff to gain an understanding of business objectives. Facilitate the development of approaches and solutions and the definition of deliverables required to implement business processes. Provide input on latest technological and business development trends.

·         Focused participation in multiple business process development or improvement projects as a team member or individual contributor through the documentation of the "to-be" processes, defining performance metrics and identifying and resolving process gaps. This includes process analysis, functional and logical system design and implementation. Responsible for mapping the business processes to SAP and participation in user acceptance testing.

·         Overall configuration and support management including managing changes and establishing new capabilities to ensure ongoing continuity. Involved in the creation of documentation and training materials and may deliver training during implementation. Serve in a system support role. Participate in support of production SAP system (24 X 7) for area of expertise.

·         Assist in facilitation of process improvements regarding IT internal processes. Works with management to manage internal customer relationships. Participates in budgeting and resource planning responsibilities within defined area.

·         Continue to develop expertise in SAP and enterprise systems and methodologies by participating in the evaluation of new releases or alternate software, interacting with consultants and user groups and reviewing business and technical literature. Contribute to the development of technical or business process expertise across the organization by sharing information with teammates and business partners.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Business Administration, or similar. Or equivalent work experience. Masters degree or equivalent degree preferred.

 

Experience: This position can be filled at multiple levels depending on experience.

·         Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in SAP design and implementation with a minimum of 10 years in Information Technology or operational business area.

·         Proven ability to lead solutions within one or more functional/business process area.

·         Knowledge of business process improvement programs within the consumer packaged goods industry or related field.

 

Skills:

·         Requirements definition working directly with business users

·         Strong understanding of accounting processes

·         Ability to develop specifications and documentation

·         Lead development resources to deliver results on time and on budget Technical

 

Skills:

·         SAP 6.0 FI/CO configuration workbench, SAP Product Costing, SAP Cost Center Accounting, SAP Logistics Information System (LIS), SAP Inventory Valuation methods

·         Understanding of SAP transport and release process

·         knowledge of Windows, MS Office Suite Desired Experience(s) are a

Plus:

·         SAP Activity Based Costing, SAP Bill of Material (BOM) and SAP Long Range Planning knowledge, HP Quality Center

·         Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.

No. of Positions:         1

Travel Paid:     Yes. Need as local as possible - expenses have a maximum cap of $825/week so not all travelers would be acceptable.
