The Software Engineering Services strives to provide world-class software engineering consulting by leveraging the enterprise solutions offering including reusable design patterns and enterprise application frameworks. Successful candidates will embrace our mission to improve reliability, quality, and interoperability, as well as to decrease cost and time to market for our customers and partners.
We are searching for an Engineering Solution Architect to join our team. A successful candidate is expected to perform the following responsibilities:
- Consult with incoming projects to better understand the problem they wish to solve and participate in requirements gathering sessions.
- Demonstrate how various solutions offered within Engineering Services will assist them in achieving their goals and requirements.
- Guide projects through various processes to ensure they receive a full implementation and/or service delivery of the solutions recommended.
- Participates in collaboration sessions with peer groups and business owners to better understand the business problem, technology impact, and deliver an estimated cost of pursuing analysis efforts.
- Drive creation/improvement of new/existing solution patterns to be added to our service catalog. Develop associated documentation and marketing material for newly created patterns. Facilitate vendor evaluations and proof-of-concepts.
A successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
· Combined 8 years consulting experience in application development and infrastructure including full life cycle activities
· Requirements gathering and solution design of software and systems engineering components
· Ability to discover and define functional requirements and their relationship to technical requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition
· Demonstrated experience using design patterns and cloud computing
· Proven ability to rapidly deliver prototypes and proof-of-concept work to validate a proposed architectural approach
· Analyzes opportunities across the enterprise to standardize services and create patterns.
· Leads cross functional project teams in detailed analysis and requirements of pattern candidates.
· Excellent communication skills, influence, and client service at all levels
· Strong Microsoft Excel and Visio skills
· Resourceful and works independently; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks.
· Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others
· Ability to work with and mentor Cx0 level individuals down to developers
· Experience navigating organizational change
· Strong knowledge and/or experience of health care, insurance industries
