Job Title: .Net Developer with Financial Experience

Location: Stamford, CT

Duration: 6 months

 

Client seeks a strong, motivated software developer with a designer's eye to create and support various applications written using Microsoft technologies. The successful applicant will work amongst a small team working closely with end users to gain an understanding of requirements and develop solutions though the full software development cycle.

 

Job Description:

• Develop and customize applications to support the hedge fund of funds business
• Contribute to the Evolving User Interface Framework for all new applications
• Design, Layout & Code new user interfaces and reports
• Data analysis and reconciliation
• Provide technical support to end users

 

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• ASP.Net MVC
• JavaScript / jQuery /AJAX
• College degree in computer science, math or finance
• Experience developing multi-tier, scalable applications within the Financial Services Industry with significant experience in Capital Markets and/or Asset Management.
• Third party charting tools such as Infragistics and Dundas
• MS SQL Server Reporting Services
• MS Visual Studio 2010 using C#
• Aptitude for numbers and an ability to understand abstract concepts and recognize patterns
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and professionally
• Self-starter who can prioritize tasks under pressure

 

Preferred Skills:

• Mobile Application Design (i.e. Blackberries, iPhones, iPads)
• Windows Presentation Foundation
• MS SQL Server 2005/2008 (T-SQL)
• Familiarity with Prime Broker or Administrator Data Feeds
• Familiarity with Bloomberg or other Market Data Feeds
• Experience with Hedge Funds or Fund of Hedge Funds
• Microsoft SharePoint
• Windows Communication Foundation
• MS SQL Server Integration Services
• MS SQL Server Analysis Services
