Middleware Engineer – Red Hat Fuse

Contract:  3-6 months could extend

 

Middleware Engineer/RedHat Fuse Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the enterprise SOA platform.  A successful Middleware Engineer ensures that the developed services are interacting and communicating between interacting software applications as designed.

 

Our platform drives personalized healthcare experiences across DaVita's communication channels. A successful Middleware Operations Engineer combines deep technical knowledge with leadership and coordination skills to ensure the operational success of large, complex projects. This position reports directly to a Director.

 

Duties:

• Work effectively with all levels of the technical and non-technical organizational while proactively strengthening relationships
• Focus on the non-functional aspects of the SOA by analyzing system requirements and ensuring that systems will offer security, availability and will be effectively integrated with current applications
• Ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels and offers support to application development department regarding new technologies, patterns and system requirements

 

Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance and support experience, and detailed/comprehensive understanding of the SOA and Integration Platforms (REDHAT Fuse) or similar enterprise application
• Clustering & load balancing in middleware environment
• Log analysis and maintenance using SPLUNK required
• Experience with JBoss Fuse/A-MQ (2+ years preferred)

• Prior experience in large scale SOA projects
• Experience in and/or experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)/Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) with exposure to one or more of the following stacks: Oracle, JBoss, Java/J2EE, SOA, WHISL, and/or PIL

 

Technology Overview

• Core tech:     Apache CXF, Apache Camel, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Karaf with Fuse Fabric, RedHat JBoss Developer Studio, RedHat JON
• Supporting tech: GIT, Stash, Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, Splunk, JIRA, Confluence
• Additional tech: Oracle HTB (aka HDR)
