ABAP Developer (SAP)
Duration: 3 months
Summary:
Deluxe is in need of 2 SAP Developers/Technical Analysts for 8 to 12 weeks starting in early July for an Upgrade project. One key point is that neither of these development resources need to have HR development experience since we have internal resources that will be working through the development object that are related to HR.
SAP Technical Analyst
Position requires an individual that possesses the ability to design, develop, implement and support application solutions for all business related SAP modules.
• Prepare documentation such as process flow diagrams, technical program specifications, training materials, etc.
• Act as liaison by working with other functional areas to coordinate cross functional efforts.
• Document and execute unit testing based on work assignments.
• Help resolve issues and drive larger project efforts to completion.
• Assist SAP Process Analysts in creation of user acceptance test plans.
• Possess clear understanding of cross module integration points as they relate to the assigned module(s).
• Ensure all processes are in compliance with Deluxe Corporation's policies and procedures, including SOX.
• Provide improvement recommendations to SAP Application Manager or SAP Functional Analyst and implement as assigned.
• Provide detailed technical knowledge throughout the development process and maintain insight to current industry practices and how they can be applied at Deluxe.
• Clear understanding of data dictionary objects across all SAP module application areas.
• Provide technical expertise required to implement improvements.
• Develop and document processes and standards to support technical related items for use by team members.
• Ensure standard processes are followed (e.g. Issue Management, Release Management, Change Management, etc.).
Required Skills / Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience coding and documenting SAP ABAP project using techniques such as Dialog programming, iDocs, BAPIs, BDC, ITS, ALV, Workflow, customer enhancements and reporting.
• Knowledge of SAP architecture integration of all modules used by Deluxe.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0.
• Understanding of SAP Basis activities including transport processes and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven organization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, self directed environment.
• Experience dealing with confidential data and situations.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, investigative and decision making abilities.
• Expected to work independently with SAP Functional Analysts.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and project responsibilities concurrently.
• Ability to deliver on commitments (high quality, on time and on budget) while working on multiple assignments/projects concurrently.
• Experience in external file management.
• Optional - Experience with Panaya tools used for code corrections.
