Cognos Developer with SQL
Location:  Orangeburg - NY
Duration: 6+months

Job Description

Cognos and SQL development tasks; coding, testing, debugging. Tier 3 support; Timely production defect resolution. Analysis and design tasks for new development projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Education
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of Cognos 8.4 Development experience; Hands on experience and proficiency with Framework Manager, Transformer, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, and Query Studio
• Linux or UNIX hands-on experience
• Oracle Database and SQL experience
• Experience designing and developing reporting Data Models

Skills
• Cognos 8.4 Framework Manager, Transformer, Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Query Studio
• Strong SQL development, analysis and tuning skills
• Must be comfortable with complex SQL
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Proficiency in Data Warehouse concepts
• Proficient in MS Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, Visio)

Desired (not required) Skills
• PL/SQL
• Hyperion/PS SQR
• Experience with PeopleSoft table structures
• Cognos SDK
• Cognos 10 experience
• Cognos administration
