*****SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER II*****

The Software Development Engineer is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle for new and existing programs. The position involves daily interaction with other team members and members of other departments within the company to deliver a quality product in a timely manner.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Design, modify, implement, and document software application changes.

- Provide accurate estimation of development effort and input into project timelines.

- Maintain responsibility of assigned tasks by using experience and knowledge of environment to make development decisions

- Work in a challenging cross-functional team environment.

- Work under the supervision of a Team Lead or Manager

- Other job related duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Formal education level: Bachelor's degree in a related area (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Services, Management Information Services) or equivalent industry experience. Formal education level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent educations and/or experience.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & PROFICIENCY LEVEL:

- Strong C# Skills (2+ years)

- Object-Oriented Design Skills

- Client-Server Programming Skills

- Multi-threaded Development

- SQL DB Admin and Query Design

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- .Net 3.0 Framework Experience (WCF, WPF) strongly preferred.

- XML API Knowledge (XPath, XML DOM, etc) preferred

- C++ Development Experience

- COM Interop Experience

- ActiveReports
