Location: Irving, TX

Duration: 1 year contract, likely extension

Main Skills: LARGE Data sets – millions of lines, multiple TB's of data.  Need heavy SSAS and Cube development from scratch. 

 

Job Description for the Project:
This resource will play a key role in the Business Intelligence team. Responsible to understand BRDs and identify the problem statement

·  Analyze existing software infrastructure and able to suggest areas of improvement

·  Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently

·  Excellent technical and communication skills

·  Good client management

·  Ability to deliver the projects on time

Required Skills for the Project:

·  Complete expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 platform – SQL Server, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Integration Services

·  .NET 3.5 experience, especially C#/VB.Net

·  Microsoft Office - Excel automation

·  Expertise in Business Intelligence with emphasis on OLAP technologies with particular expertise in Analysis Services

·  Software: Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 platform – SQL Server, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Integration Services, .NET 3.5 experience, especially C#/VB.Net,Microsoft Office, Strong SQL experience a must and ability to tune queries for better performance

·  Methodologies: OLAP dimensional methodology – Ralph Kimball
·  Hardware: Intel

·  Operating Systems Windows XP/2003 Advanced Server, Unix

·  Database: SQL Server 2005/2008, Oracle 10g or later, Analysis Services database architecture

·  Languages/Development Tools: SQL Server Management Studio,SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio,Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008,SQL Navigator for Oracle,TOAD for Oracle
