Project Manager

Location: Detroit, MI

Duration: 8-9 months

 

Description:

- Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing complex application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology. 

- Focus on ownership and maintenance of highly complex work plans with Internal and External dependencies.

- Facilitate the development of strategic plans for projects of high business and technical complexity. 

- Ability to access complex changes and apply to work plans with precision and timeliness.

- Develops detailed work plans and schedules using MS Project. 

- Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule. 

- Develops and presents project-related presentations for executive leadership. 

- Direct and frequent involvement in sponsor, client, and customer relations to ensure that service expectations are met.

 

Required Skills:

- Demonstrated strong leadership skills 

- Minimum 3 years experience running IT projects 

- Proven experience managing large project teams and sub teams 

- Proficient in formal project management methodologies 

- Excellent understanding of risk management and mitigation

- High proficiency (expert-level) in the use of MS-Project deployed for the Enterprise and used by a large program leveraging all features. 

- Requirements management and scope containment skills 

- Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolutions skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English speaking -  required) 

Required Technical Skills/Experience:

- NASCO experience

- Vendor Relations and file transmission experience

- JAD Session experience

Required Healthcare Knowledge:

- EOBs

- File layouts

- Mainframe

- PMP certification preferred
