Job Description:

  • We are looking for a Lead Quality Engineers with experience in an Agile software development environment.  The candidate will work inside of collaborative DevOps teams, which are responsible for the end-to-end delivery and quality of the service.
 
Job Tasks
  • Analyze & decompose large systems in order to design nimble test approach.
  • Impact design and development of service/component to improve testability.
  • Create mocks and emulators to isolate system under test.
  • Design and develop test frameworks to speed up test development and reduce test maintenance.
  • Drive automation initiatives from building (Ant, Gradle and Jenkins/Bamboo), testing (JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber), and deploying (Chef, Puppet, Ansible) services.
  • Ability to speed up releases - continuous integration/continuous deployment related automation.
  • Have a good understanding of system availability, reliability, scalability and visibility on premises and on the cloud.
  • Design and run stress and load te           sts.
  • Ensure good coding practices and peer reviews are applied to test code.
  • Ensure proper Quality Engineering policy and testing coverage is applied. 
  • Work with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Leverage and contribute to our evolving shared infrastructure.
  • Exposure to open source industry standard test tools, technologies and frameworks.
  • Conduct research on emerging testing tools/technologies and approaches and work with developers in POC.
  • Continuously learn and apply new concepts and technologies.  Personal initiative and technical innovation are expected from all Neustar employees.
 
Qualifications/Education Requirement
  • Four-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years experience in software Quality Engineering and Test Automation.
  • Strong scripting skills (Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.).
  • Experience with writing test code in core Java.
  • Expertise in test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium or JMeter.
  • Experience with Webservices API – specifically REST APIs.
  • Experience with implementation of continuous Integration.
  • Experience with continuous deployment and automated deployment tools (chef/puppet/Ansible).
  • Experience with performance testing of distributed systems.
  • Experience in a Linux / Java environment.   
  • Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
