Location: Miami FL

Duration: contract through 2/28/2014 with possible extension

Max All Inclusive C2C Bill Rate : $42/hr C2C

 

 

Project/Role:

 

 

Project/Role: Client has need of a database application and ETL developer for one of our major projects in the portfolio.  The high level requirement is essentially the translation of a DB2 database into its equivalent SQL Server database.  This includes conversion and translation of the DB2 database tables, columns, indexes, default constraints, and data.  For the purposes of this project the DB2 views, stored procedures, and application queries are considered out of scope. • The schema translation for all tables, columns, indexes, and default constraints matches between DB2 and SQL Server taking into account specific SQL Server differences. o The actual validation piece is out of scope for execution by the contractor as we already have the tools and processes in place that will do the validation. • The data load for all tables matches 100% from a DB2 to SQL Server perspective row by row, column by column. o The actual validation piece is out of scope for execution by the contractor as we already have the tools and processes in place that will do the validation.

Skills Required:   • Must have experience and expertise in developing new and modifying existing SSIS ETL processes that extract data from DB2 and load it into SQL Server. • Must have experience and expertise with translating DB2 schema DDL into the equivalent SQL Server DDL.  Schema DDL refers to DB2 and SQL Server table, column, default constraint, and index definitions. • The ideal candidate must be able to work on site in the Miami Office under the supervision of one of the team's senior members.
