Description:

The Client is seeking augmentation to assist its Software and Data Services team in the maintenance and enhancements of the Business Accounting System. The Client has implemented the Business Accounting System using Oracle's JD Edwards package which is an integrated financial management system composed of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Management, and Budget Management functionalities. It is installed in the Client's Oracle 10g web application framework that runs on AIX operating system servers.

 

Resource must be fully knowledgeable and experienced with the JD Edwards Financials software product. Experience preferred working in an Oracle database and AIX operating system environment, but not required. The resource will work with other developers on the maintenance and enhancements of the Business Accounting System application and will provide training to both users and developers as needed.

 

Required Experience:

·         Minimum 6 – 8 years' experience as a JD Edwards developer;

·         Business analyst level understanding of a wide range of processes, with at least four (4) years' experience with financials, GL, AR and AP;

·         Fluent user of JD Edwards tool set, able to build and modify master business functions, and able to program in C++;

·         Knowledge of JD Edwards systems administration tools (CNC);

·         Strong knowledge transfer and end user mentoring skills;

·         Ability to build development utilities and do joint troubleshooting with application developers;

·         Ability to communicate technical information effectively.

 

Preferred Experience:

·         Experience preferred working in an Oracle database and AIX operating system environment.

 

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Work with customers to define requirements to personalize and optimize the financials software for customer use; then utilize JD Edwards tools and utilities to implement personalization;

·         Create personalized reports, modify screen templates, maintain UDC tables, modify and support UBE batch processes, assist with optimization of the batch scheduler and assist with the configuration of security settings;

·         Mentor Lottery applications staff to achieve self-reliance with the JD Edwards software development tools and utilities;

·         Identify processes for improvement, document existing processes, identify and analyze gaps between current processes and product capabilities, design new processes, develop process performance measures and assist users with transition to a new process;

·         Handle day-to-day management of assigned projects and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines are met;

·         Write software user manuals and technical documentation.
