Java Architect
Location: MN
Duration: 3+Months (Remote)


We have an immediate opening for client facing Java Architect to join a unique team trying to tackle some of the toughest challenges in marketing and web development.
You will be given the opportunity to work with a global CMS product onsite with an impressive list of large Fortune 500 clients. Some travel will be required for this position.
The right person will have the opportunity to work from home as well as onsite.
Experience in client-facing consulting positions and enterprise level Java architecture experience is required.
Experience working with Content Management Systems such as Tridion or SiteCore is also required.

Responsibilities:
•    Responsible for environment and platform architecture to allow for successful implementation and integration of web based systems.
•    Lead and/or mentor project teams to determine system specifications, integration points and software interfaces to meet client and project requirements.
•    Plans, optimizes and negotiates changes to scope and schedules with internal and external team members.
•    Adopts and utilizes iterative and waterfall methodologies as needed or requested (Agile, Scrum, RUP)
         
Desired Qualifications/Experience: 
•    4 year technical degree. Technical certifications recommended.
•    8-10 years professional related experience in Java/J2EE and object-oriented application development (OOAD)
•    Architecture, development and implementation of content management systems (e.g. SDL Tridion, SharePoint, Sitecore, Drupal, etc.)
•    Ruby/Rails or Groovy/Grails architecture and development
•    Spring/Spring MVC/Spring Web Services architecture and development
•    superior object oriented programming, unit testing, debugging and code organization skills
•    master analytic and problem-solving skills, particularly as it relates to application design, development and infrastructure
•    Self-directed and motivated technical team leader capable of delivering reliable and maintainable solutions.
•    Strong verbal and written communications.
•    System infrastructure and configuration management.
•    Workflow and collaboration tools.
•    Demonstrated ability to assess and optimize commercial software products and information infrastructure.
•    Superior presentation of technology solutions to clients.
•    Successful use of project planning methodologies to deliver high quality launches that are on-time and on-budget.

Additional Preferred Skills
•    .NET/C# and object-oriented application development (OOAD)
