Requirements
- PMP or MS in Project Management
- Expert working with cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal /written skills
- Strong HHS expertise and experience- Public Health preferred
- Ten to 12 years' experience being the Project Manager implementing IT projects
- Expert at navigating Executive structure to gain deep understanding of strategic vision
- Expert at leading project team to resolution
- Expert at facilitating presentations to executive leaders
- Ability to keep focused on Scope, Schedule, and Budget in managing large complex projects
- Experience in Stakeholder management strategies
Collaborate with Vendor on the following:
- Conduct interviews on current IT systems
- Analyze potential gaps in the identification phase
- Build a strategy that provides DPH with options that meet business objectives
- Utilize measurable tools to validate work completed by vendor
- Manage all phrases and tasks to project completion
- Facilitate Executive reviews on project status
Below is a partial list of the duties for this project manager:
- Scheduling:
- Assure that appropriate IT and WIC staff are in attendance at all IES meetings
- Attend Meetings
- Weekly Status Report (Internal)
- Weekly Status Report (Deloitte)
- Weekly Finance Meeting
- Weekly Change Control Board (CCB)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Daily Triage Meetings
- Defect Escalation Meetings
- Georgia Gateway (IES) Technical Cutover Meetings
- Other IES meetings as needed
- Prepare Project Status Reports
- Schedule a weekly DPH internal project status meeting
- Work with IES PMO on the Project Cutover tasks for the Henry County Pilot
- Develop an internal communication plan to better facilitate communications about IES project status to DPH IT and WIC staff
- Provide a weekly IES-DPH-WIC project status report
- Provide Meeting notes to staff
- Training:
- Work with Deloitte and the IES PMO to schedule training sessions
- 7 Day training sessions
- Super User Trainings
- Classroom Assistant Trainings
- Change Champion Trainings
- 4 Day WIC "Train-the-Trainer" Trainings
- Coordinate with NSD's and MIS Directors to get the WIC trainings in the districts scheduled
- Register staff for the 7 Day and 4 Day training sessions in the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Create User credentials in IES for all WIC staff
- Work with Deloitte and the IES PMO to schedule training sessions
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Management
- Work with WIC testers to make certain that all scripts have been tested
- Work with WIC testers, DPH Staff and Deloitte to escalate any defects that are found
- Work with Deloitte and IES PMO to get design modifications made or Change Requests created for any defects that are deemed "not part of the original design"
- Planning:
- Develop an overall project plan
- Track and coordinate all IES tasks and report back to Applications Director
