Hadoop/Teradata Developers – 
12 mo contract

Job Description:
Project Scope: Work collaboratively with client middle office organization to create data solutions using cutting edge technology to solve business problems.

Detailed job description: Work as part of a team as an experienced developer, using Agile approach, to quickly move from idea to implementation and then to continue iterating. Work will be focused on core development as requirements and testing will be executed by other teams.

Role/Responsibilities: Perform technical code development in Hadoop, Hive, Python, and Teradata, Unit testing would also be expected.

Required Skills: 

• Years of experience desired: 2-10

Mandatory Skills:
o Hadoop (2+ years)
o Hive (2+ years)
o Python (2+ years)

Nice to Have Skills
o Teradata (nice to have)
o Ability to pick up new languages and technical skills on-the-job

Interpersonal Attributes
o Good written and verbal communication
o Ability to work as part of a team
o Flexibility required. If client would like to modify a design/approach, need to be able to support it as opposed to only wanted to implement design that you personally feel is optimal.
