Our client seeks a Customer Support Security Engineer to join some of the industry's brightest minds in developing and deploying today's most advanced Internet technologies. In this role, you will gain insight on the detailed functionality of Cisco products and partner with all distributed elements of the service chain. The ideal candidate demonstrates an aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies, evidenced by the ability to expand upon core knowledge.
Provide escalated support to the customer security infrastructure and solution. Provide systems/product training. Acts as a focal point for large account network problem resolution. Acts as a technical expert. Provides support on a world-wide basis.
Typically requires BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred)or equivalent plus 2-5 years related experience. Security CCNP desired.
· Receives minimal supervision.
· Receives no instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments.
· Ability to analyze, use and configure small to medium networks. Proven crisis management skills.
· Typically interfaces with security analysts, marketing, development and customer networking engineers. Impact is major.
· Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
· Applies known solutions to solve problems.Required Certifications- CCNA, CCSP, CCNP Preferred Certifications- CCDP, CCIE Security, CISSP, SANS certs
Experience with Technology required- Cisco ASA, Cisco IPS, Cisco WSA, Cisco ACS, VPN, Basic Route Switch
Experience with Technology preferred- Cisco ISE, Cisco CSM, Voice experience, ISS, Palo Alto, Juniper, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Blue Coat
