Job Title: Performance Tester
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 1 year
Positions: 1
Supporting the Quality Assurance (QA) activities for residential and business customers through established Delivery Center.
The scope of work encompasses all aspects of QA/testing services including supporting various testing phases including System Test, Integration Test, and Regression Test. Involved throughout the project development lifecycle and responsible for test planning, test management, test execution and close-out activities.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Looking for experienced Test Manager/Analyst optimally with experience testing large scale software products and demonstrated ability to work in a virtual team environment.
The primary responsibilities of this role:
- Planning and scheduling of resources, deliverables, execution, etc. as part of the Test Plan document
- Coordinating, end-to-end, all testing activities
- Writing automated and manual test cases based on requirements and user stories
- Executing test cases manually or using automated test tools
- Tracking and reporting on test results and defects
- Coordinating the test environment
- Updating HP ALM/Quality Center
- Hosting defect meetings
- Retesting of defects
- Resolving of issues and risks
- Creating test closeout reports
- Escalating issues and concerns to Delivery Manager
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Thorough knowledge of the entire SDLC, IT systems and processes, testing methodologies and their direct implementation to projects
- Thorough knowledge of the test planning and test management domains
- Experience in analyzing and decomposing requirements and creating testing strategy/plan as well as testing estimates and work plans
Functional knowledge of billing and accounting domains, including sales commissions - Thorough working knowledge of developing, maintaining, and executing test scenarios and test cases
- Experience tracking and retesting defects and reporting status to various levels of the project organization
- Working regular US business schedule with some flexibility based on project needs
- Working occasional over-time
- Completing tasks, including over-time work if necessary, on short notice
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with ability to work in a rapidly changing environment utilizing good time management and prioritization skills, while maintaining high quality and being flexible to customer needs and timelines
NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED
- Self-motivated performer with a desire to work on a product team, learning and testing software features
- Experience testing browser-based/web applications
- Experience building and enhancing a large scale software products
- Experience with automation tools (HP UFT/QTP) and automated testing
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision from management
Required Skills:
- Microsoft suite of application (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, MS Visio.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Engineering or other Scientific/Technical discipline and 5 years of relevant work experience or 8+ years of relevant work experience
