EPIC SER Analyst
Location: Webster, TX
Duration: 6 Months
This position provides assistance with the cleanup of UTMB's Epic Schedulable Epic Resource (SER) masterfile as well as help to establish processes for the more efficient handling of new and retired providers. Activities require interaction with internal and external customers of Information Services. Candidate must have the ability to self-motivate, prioritize work, and lead; as well as, work within a team.
Specific Job Related Duties:
· Provide analytical and development support for UTMB's Epic EMR which has been live for 8+ years and Access/Revenue Cycle which has been live for 10 months.
· Lead the cleanup of UTMB's SER in production and lower environments to help get us ready for the MU2 requirement for Transitions of Care
· Assist with streamlining processes of: adding new internal and external providers, processing resource provider type, modifying PAT/PIN/Bill Area/Provider Type/Provider Specialty/DEA# etc, processing provider resignations.
· Assist with developing new processes for onboarding new housestaff, and medical students
· Modify existing system functionality based on client service requests.
· Maintain and modify master files and system tables.
· Document build processes and plans, and transfer knowledge to Information Services team.
· Demonstrate excellent project management, communication and documentation skills
Education/Experience:
· Certification in one or more of Epic's patient access, billing, or clinical applications required
· Understanding of patient access and/or clinical workflows is a positive attribute.
· Must be able to collaborate well with team of both technical and clinical professionals.
· Three years minimum experience. Prefer two years' experience in either clinical patient care environment or clinical information systems.
· Bachelor's Degree or years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
