Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

The Business Systems Analyst's role is to analyze, plan, design, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes.

This role includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.

The Business Systems Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues.

This individual will apply proven verbal and written communication, analytical, technical and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

The Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) provide the primary technical liaison between the business users/Brand CIOs, External Service Providers and IT.

They are involved in all phases of the Application Delivery lifecycle from explore/discovery to application warranty and production support, maintenance and enhancement.

During the initial phases of solution shaping, BSAs are responsible for gathering and documenting business process requirements, and translating them into design specifications that enable Application Development teams to design and deliver a technical solution that meets the business needs and requirements.

The BSAs work in the areas of: Development, Infrastructure and Application Support.

The BSA role works with Business, Development teams, QA, External Service Providers, and production support teams during the Development, QA, and production release cycles, including: research and review of technical solution alternatives, proposals for system, configuration changes, requirements management, review and tracking of change requests, defect assessment, system configuration, knowledge transfer and application solution support, during the warranty period and coordination, priority management, implementation of break-fix, maintenance and enhancement requests, support and initial training of business Super Users assesses infrastructure needs.

 

10+ years' experience required.

 

• Top 3-5 MUST HAVE technical skills:

o 12 years Oracle Financial Applications Experience.

o Very thorough understanding of Financial Modules with special focus on Oracle Projects, Project Costing, Fixed Assets and Accounts Payable.

o Configuring Oracle Release 12 Finance for defined business processes.

 

• Top 3-5 daily responsibilities?

o Partner with internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis.

o Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

o Serve as the conduit between the internal stakeholder community and the Finance team, both business systems and infrastructure/operations, through which requirements flow.

o Proactively recommend business process and performance improvements based on new features/functions delivered in new versions of third-party software.

o Ability to develop and deliver communications (both oral and written) that have clarity and impact.

o Ability to document using Oracle AIM methodology.
