REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (include appropriate hardware, software skills needed):

·         Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories of software development techniques and systems design as well as the ability to recognize, analyze and determine alternatives and take action to correct problem areas

·         Advanced knowledge of Java, J2EE and MVC frameworks such as Spring and Struts

·         Advanced knowledge of web and application servers such as WebSphere, Apache, and Tomcat

·         Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and web services

·         Ability to multi- task, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs, work under tight deadlines and the flexibility to work in a changing environment,

·         Ability to provide estimates for technical project activities without detailed specifications

·         Ability to produce quality results while meeting target dates

·         Ability to interface with other IT divisions or customers to provide technical expertise

·         Ability to troubleshoot J2EE production issues

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

 REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Proven experience on large-scale software implementations with design and hands-on development of J2EE Enterprise software

·         7 years experience as a web developer with strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Servlet, JSP, , HTML, XML, SQL Server 2000 and/or DB2

·         7 years experience working with J2EE architecture and patterns

·         Experience with software development methodologies, tools, and techniques
