Network Operations Center. This position will last 6-12 months possible longer and is located in Manhattan, NY. They are looking for someone who has experience with HP monitoring tools, especially OMW & OMi. If you have any consultants with these specific skills please send their resumes to me

Technology Services is seeking a consultant to fill a 6-12 month position to join its Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The Network Operations Center provides 24x7 proactive monitoring of critical applications that keep the IT systems infrastructure operating smoothly. Must possess excellent analytical, organization, presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must demonstrate a strong skill set with HP's monitoring tools (OMW and Omi) including the knowledge with Omi to assist with the development of correlation rules using TBEC

Must also have experience with:

 

• Installation and troubleshooting of operations and performance agents
• Developing tools for OMW
• Configuring policies for monitoring using services, systems events, application logs, etc
• Scripting in Power Shell
• Reporting in OMW
• Scripting with Java and Visual Basic

 

Additional Skills (Skills that are a plus, but not required)

 

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience with HP Operations Manager.

 

Assignment:

 

The selected candidate will be responsible to assist the back office team to implement application monitoring using HP's tools
