12+ Month Contract
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• 5+ years working in role of a SAP Basis Administrator having demonstrated experience supporting production operations and maintenance of both SAP NetWeaver ABAP and JAVA systems
• Knowledge of working on SAP ECC, BW, APO, CRM, MDM, BPM, Portal, Solution Manager etc
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The primary responsibility of this role will be to work as hands-on administrator to maintain/support a global SAP environment including troubleshooting problems, escalating open issues, implementing solutions, monitoring of systems, prevention of outages, and optimize the system for maximum performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems and risks to the environment. This may include working cross functionally with other technology teams, geographies and disciplines.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical details for SOPs (refresh, migrations, configuration, installs, etc.) and ensure are followed to maintain a viable system
• Plan and participate into quarterly releases / infrastructure outages. Execute tasks per plan.
• Provide technical expertise and direction to drive effective operations related to support activities.
• Serve as liaison to vendor support/technical staff to escalate, analyze, and resolve issues.
• Work with other related technology teams displaying insight and knowledge to understand and influence technical direction and strategy.
• Able to work independently as well as cooperatively
• Experience administering SAP systems running on IBM AIX / DB2
