Position: SQL Developer
Location:Colorado Springs, CO/Richardson - TX
Duration: 6+ Months
Description
Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Sr. Developer will be working to implement a number of new billing models for video conferencing services.
This person will be responsible for defining low level technical requirements based on high level billing business requirements.
This individual will then be responsible for designing and implementing a solution to meet these requirements in coordination with architects from a number of other systems and groups.
In addition, the Sr. Developer will be working on other product enhancements that will simplifiy the video conferencing product..
Required Skills/Experience:
B.S. in Computer Science or Equivalent degree
Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
Must be able to interact professionally with with a wide range of people and personalities.
Must be able to drive interactions with multiple vendors to troubleshoot, isolate and resolve problems.
Must be willing to work odd hours to interact with team members located across the globe.
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal, written and presentation.
Must be proficient in Linux shell scripting (bash or korn shell)
Must be proficient (5+ years) in SQL, with an emphasis on Oracle PL/SQL and database packages
Must be proficient (3+ years) in using SOAP, REST or other Service Oriented Software to deliver reusable software stacks.
Must be comfortable in both Windows and Linux environments
Desired Skills:
CVS Version control, Java, C++, Eclipse IDE
Client Conferencing is revising its billing models to better compete in the global conferencing market.
The existing feeds from the video conferencing systems need to be revised to provide the right information to support these new billing models.
This position will be responsible for learning the existing billing feeds and processes, and then designing new billing feeds that will satisfy the business requirements of the new billing models.
