Position Description:
Positions in this function work in the business analysis phase of the system development cycle and consult with SMEs to define business processes, plan data, data mapping, rules and mandates. Compose centralized documents for the fore mentioned business requirement to be leveraged by both business and technical teams. Prepare detailed specifications using business process modeling tools. Work directly with Systems Architect/Developers in the development and deployment phases of the project. Comfortable in an Agile development environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Consults with business SMEs from legacy and acquisition platforms on the development and implementation of strategic business solutions through research, audit, and analysis of data and/or business processes rules and mandates
• Interacts with all levels of management
• Plays a key role in developing, documenting and maintaining complex business models for Information Technology projects
• Participates in developing Product Technology strategic business plans and/or action plans including identification of objectives, goals and strategies
• Assists in preparation of estimates for Product Technology / UHGIT enterprise initiatives
• Establishes metrics to measure deployment of new project or process solutions
• Works with business partners and technical team to define, document, and review business and system requirements to support new projects
• Assists users in prioritization process and the development of strategies and performance goals
• Develops detailed documentation to support understanding of requirements in support of business, development, and Quality Assurance
• Projects involve more than one user area and more than one system
• Demonstrates leadership by coordinating the requirements, specifications, and design and testing efforts for small to large projects

Qualifications:
• 6+ years experience as a Business Analyst
• 6+ years' experience with SDLC
• 6+ years' experience gathering and documenting project requirements/specifications
• BS Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent Degree
• Comfort with writing SQL, Wire framing
• Quality Assurance experience a plus

Assets:
• Relational database experience
• Healthcare Insurance industry experience
• Systems analyst experience
• Certified business analysis professional (CBAP)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Visio
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server
• Bachelors Degree
