This request is for a contractor to initially work on project with the option to convert to an employee (contract for hire). This position is a critical role for the SAP Global Support Finance team. The amount of incoming work performed by this individual over the last 5 months has been: 67% of all Finance incidents and 45% of all Finance work orders. Additionally, backup requirements and the reoccurring month end-quarter end-year end supports the requirement for Finance support analysts.
This position provides day-to-day, month end, quarter end, and year end finance production support for Global SAP. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Remedy ticket management, facilitate root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, perform trend analysis on incoming work requests (incident, questions, services), create and maintain TSCs for standard changes, attend CCB meetings to represent operations changes and interface with the business to communicate plans and request status. In addition, this position is responsible for: direct day-to-day functional production support in SAP modules - FI/CO; working with SAP functional and technical support teams and serving as a resource to provide solutions on complex production issues; coordinating and supporting month end, quarter end and year end activities; performing cross functional testing and integration issues with other modules; developing knowledge management content to be leveraged by Level 2 support staff and end-users for SAP FI/CO; providing on-call support for non-core hours of operation.
Qualifications: • Four year degree in computer science, information systems, business or equivalent
• 5+ years experience is required in: SAP FI/CO module in a support environment. Thorough knowledge of FI: A/P, A/R, G/L, F/A,CO: CCA, Assessments and Product Costing
• Functional experience in one of the following will be a plus: SD, MM, PP, CRM, FI/CO
• Experience with service management tools such as Remedy, Quality Manager and SAP's Solution Manager preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent root cause analysis skills
• Ability to travel, up to 5%"
