Title: Business Analyst – E Commerce

Description:
Gather analyze and document business requirements. Coordinate approval of final, documented requirements with relevant business sponsor. Develop prototype/mockups of solution to meet approved requirements by both technical and business teams. Track document and analyze business and technical issues which arise during system development and implementation and drive them to resolution. Work with application designers, developers and deployment team throughout implementation to ensure previously documented and approved business requirements are fulfilled and system operates as per the approved design. Manage projects from requirements to completion. Define project scope, negotiate for project resources, and participate in the development of the project plan.
Job Functions:
1. Management of the analysis process. Including coordination with key business users, creating business analysis documents. Follow-up on questions, document sign-off, document's accuracy and presentation of findings of the business analysis to the development team.
2. Work closely with the project development leader and the business users. Coordinate the resolution of issues as identified that may affect the project with the assistance and approvals of the development team and the business users.
3. Work closely with the business users that will be involved in providing input for the business requirements, providing coaching, feedback, correction and analysis where appropriate.
4. Accountable for assisting the business user in ensuring that the system being developed and deployed meets the documented business requirements.
5. Is responsible for understanding the business process and proposing how to automate those processes. Using existing and new process descriptions. To review the impact of the proposed changes on the systems to facilitate a planned transition.
6. The Business Analyst is expected to have a good understanding of the design, architecture and functionality of all solutions.
7. Must be capable of assisting the project manager in the definition of the project plan. Raising issues and taking a lead in ensuring timelines are being met to scope and quality.
8. Manage business user and sponsor expectations in terms of both the solution and the project schedule.
9. Conduct user testing. Review QA test plans. Conduct user acceptance testing. Sign off on application development from a functional (does the solution meet business needs) and quality perspective.
10. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned, e.g. Assist in the development of project life cycle and standards' best practices, methodologies, techniques, and tools. Mentors others on Business and Systems requirements gathering best practices, techniques and tools.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree Required
Must have e-commerce experience. Someone who can do prototyping, mockups, wireframes & front end analysis (like a front end functional analyst, not the graphic design aspect) and they need to know SQL.
Any knowledge of Axure Experience is a big plus.
· Strong understanding of Business Requirement Specifications, Use Case Analysis, technical specifications and overall system development life cycle.
· Must be multitasking and excellent at time management
· Self starter who can work alone or as part of a wider project team
· Experience with Microsoft Project extremely helpful
· Proven track record as a Business Analyst of 5 years, 7 years IT, plus actual structured business and process analysis.
· Proven track record participating in major IT project specification and delivery.
· Knowledge in web technologies and database is a major plus (Java, HTML, Linux, Sql, etc.)
Plusses:
Working knowledge of Axure RP Pro ( prototyping tool), or other types of prototyping tools.
Working knowledge of Html designs, Visio or Rational rose, and web inner designs and capabilities.
Familiarity with design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, fireworks) preferred
