Sr. Full Stack Developer
San Francisco, CA
Prefer contract-to-hireable US Citizens and Green Cards
Must have excellent communication skills
Through 12/31/2015 with extension into 2016 pending budget release in 4Q 2015
Job Requirement:
- Solid understanding of functional (FP) programming in Javascript using current design patterns/practices, especially as it applies to building flexible NodeJS and RESTful applications.
Deep hands-on knowledge of:
- JavaScript , NodeJS.
- Creating RESTful web services /APIs using Node.js with or without framework assistance (ie. Hapi)
- Experience with designing and using MongoDB and optimizing database structure for performance and/or maintainability and the ability to design and optimize queries.
- Use of API documentation frameworks such as Swagger
- Experience with source control, work item tracking, and build management with Git (or similar).
- Passion about building elegant, simple, and high-quality systems with software implementation best practices.
- Eagerness to learn and work outside your technology comfort zone.
- Ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced startup-like environment
Preferred
- Build systems such as chef and maven
- Shell scripting and / or python
- Jenkins setup and deploy
- Front-end experience in AngularJS, HTML
- Object oriented programming
Possibility of contractor to full time conversion
