We are looking for a technical and business knowledgeable, highly-motivated, extremely organized driver to partner with the product management team in Seattle to manage mobile app development projects in the Seattle office, including facilitating sprint planning, daily standups, for team of mobile app developers in MN.
Mobile app native development for iOS and Android. Seeking an experienced project or program manager with experience working as Scrum master in agile development team to manage sprint planning, facilitate daily standups, coordinate with supporting technical teams, manage intake of new requests to the mobile apps team.
- 2 Week Sprints
- Monthly Releases
Responsibilities:
- Drive requirements to and ensure delivery from supporting teams within the CTO technology organization.
- This person should be resourceful, experienced in Agile, and have lead programs/projects with multiple system integrations with business process impact.
- Facilitates high-level sessions for program plan and schedule development.
- Reviews/approves project plans for conformance to program strategy and program plan and schedule.
- Maintains scrum boards, status, and tracks assignments. Assists team in creating predictable and reliable capacity assessments, effort estimations, and delivery forecasts.
- Escalates decisions to product owners and sponsors as necessary.
- Responsible for weekly status reporting, and potentially financial tracking for their work streams
- Coordination of the delivery estimate and high level delivery plan (in partnership with technical PM)
- Delivery is done in an iterative model - features built in two-week sprints, app releases approximately monthly.
- Assisting with overall release coordination
- Developing and maintaining the team/program backlog
- Working with product managers to continually prioritize work queue (backlog) and coordinate sprint planning,
- Remove roadblocks and issues as they arise
- Tracking of stories, backlog, release plans
- Central point of coordination between MN development teams and their Scrum Master and mobile apps teams in Seattle
Must Have Skills:
- 5 years of Strong PM experience in Agile environment
- eCommerce/Web technical engineering projects in Retail environment
- Project management experience with eCommerce/Web technical engineering projects
- Experience with Jira
- Strong experience leading Scrums
Preferred:
- Understanding Mobile technologies and rules around releases
What are the technologies and the depth of the technologies that a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role?
- Agile – min of 5 years
- Experience in mobile app development or mobile technology is a plus
- Understanding of ecommerce technology stack
- Jira
Soft Skills:
- Strong individual – team focused, adapts to change well
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with remote teams and think creatively about communication methods, information sharing across locales and timezones, etc
- Likes to juggle multiple projects at once
- Enjoys a highly collaborative, team based approach
