Business Analyst
12 month Contract

Specific Job Details:

Rapid translation of high level business ideas into business rules and user stories
Ability to challenge business to clarify their ideas - not a note taker
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Gather and document requirements in a way that is understandable to the stakeholders with the necessary level of detail and clarity for the technical team. Documentation includes using any appropriate requirement specification tools
user stories, use cases, data flow diagrams, process diagrams or functional specifications.
Analyze and research requirements to improve and standardize business data and processes, existing functionality.
Provide analytical guidance to the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
Prioritize requirements and align stakeholder requirements to the project vision.
Help Project Manager create development tasks from requirements.
Review test plans to ensure successful user acceptance testing.
Serve as the requirements subject matter expert providing user story and requirements consultancy throughout the projects development and test cycles.
Track and manage all changes to requirements. Initiate change requests as needed. Work closely with the Product Manager to proactively manage and protect project scope. Communicate risks and impacts of proposed changes in a timely fashion. - Validate issues reported by the business against requirements and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications:

Experience with web content management system Sitecore (nice to have)
Bachelor's degree with 4 years' experience in business administration, engineering, information science, health or science related field.
Strong problem-solving, analytic, conceptual and critical thinking skills.
Strong facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.
Experience writing use cases, user stories, technical specifications and creating data flow diagrams, process diagrams and data mapping.
Experience documenting and analyzing system integrations.
Thorough understanding of application development methodologies and software development lifecycles, including Agile.
IIBA certification preferred.
Experience using development collaboration tools, for example Team Foundation Server
