Position Summary
This person will provides maintenance, support, analysis and problem resolution for the Enterprise Storage Management environment which includes Enterprise Storage as well as Enterprise backup and recovery.
They will participates in the deployment of Storage Management infrastructure to support the requirements of client storage. Assists administrators with troubleshooting storage configuration and installation. Individual is well versed in proper communications with internal teams, external teams, clients, and vendor systems specialists.
Required Skills:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience in IT computing
- 3 years of IT operational enterprise storage area network environments
- Minimum 2 years directly related experience in mid-tier storage, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and/or client/server applications
- Proficient level computer skills: MS Office, Visio, and data base software. Common storage and switch management knowledge.
- Proficient knowledge in storage and switch configuration and troubleshooting.
- Effective oral and writing communication skills
- Familiarity with storage and FC switch concepts - LUNs, FC Ports, Zones,Pools, Storage Virtualization
- Good skill level in the area of enterprise storage and FC switch management
- Good knowledge in storage and switch configuration and troubleshooting
- Minimum 2 years of IT operational enterprise storage area network environments
- Hitachi VSP – Virtual Storage Platform
- Hitachi – Universal Storage Platform (V)
- Fibre Channel Switches Cisco MDS9500
- IBM SVC (SAN Volume Controller)
- EMC – VNX – Unified Storage Platform
- EMC NAS Cellera
- Storage Replication technologies(Hitachi Universal Replicator (HUR), Hitachi true-copy, shadowimage, managing Horcm Files)
- Effective oral and writing communication skills
- Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct.

- Hitachi HiCommand Suite
- Virtual Instruments Virtual Wisdom
- VMware, AIX VIO
- MCSE or UNIX vendor OS certification preferred
- Major vendor storage, or switch certification—Hitachi Data System, IBM, Cisco
- Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM)
- Proficient level UNIX computer skills
