UAT Tester
Location: Irving, TX or Ashburn, VA
Duration: 6+Months
Rate: $40/hr on C2C
Proficient in test planning, test design, and execution of software in a multi-tier environment.
As well as being highly technical, a successful person will be detail oriented, self-motivated, team oriented, have strong
communication skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
BACKGROUND:
The Contract Lifecycle Management initiative is making significant enhancements to existing Client contracting tools.
These enhancements include system consolidation, business process re-engineering and feature/functionality enhancements.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Client CLM business team is seeking a UAT Tester to conduct user acceptance testing, identify use cases, write test plans and detailed test case steps.
Additional deliverables may be needed, such as data preparation necessary to conduct UAT, which may require learning how to set up customer data and generate quotes necessary to generate the
contracting portion of test cases.
ACTIVITIES:
The Tester will assist Client with the following activities during User Acceptance Testing for every release:
• Read detailed design documentation and identify use cases
• Write test plans
• Write detailed test case steps including expected inputs and expected results
• Compile/gather test data including generating price quotes
• Execute User Acceptance Testing
• Document actual test results in HP Quality Center including any identified defects
• Communicate with IT partners and teammates to drive defect resolution and knowledge sharing
• Self-manage activity to ensure test cases are completed within predefined schedules
• Escalate issues and risks to Client project leaders
• Document processes, workflows or user guides and share information with teammates
