We're seeking a talented operating system engineer who has experience with Android and loves to dig into the guts of the OS. What we're doing can't be done at the app layer so we need someone who has the skills and interest of getting deep into the weeds of the operating system. This will be a unique opportunity for the right candidate who wants to help change mobile for better and for always.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a highly accomplished, entrepreneurial team to build a new revolutionary mobile service
- Solve challenging problems at the lowest levels of the OS including the networking and telephony layers
- Collaborate with our hardware partners to hand off and integrate our changes with their build environment
- Provide technical guidance to management in order to help evaluate business opportunities
Requirements
- 5+ years coding experience at the operating system level
- OS experience with Linux and/or Android a must
- Proven ability to work in a small, fast-paced start-up team.
- Ability to do rapid prototyping as well as production-quality code.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity.
BS or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent experience
