Required Skills:
• Experience deploying best practices and methodologies to define Hadoop (Cloudera) infrastructure to roll out releases into production.
• Experience suggesting industry best practices towards development, testing, implementation and post production support
• Work with large data sets, automate data extraction, build monitoring/reporting and high-value, automated Business Intelligence solutions
• Build monitoring solution(s) for the Big Data infrastructure to understand the health of the infrastructure
• Scale the current infrastructure to handle greater levels of processing capability, accessibility, and reliability using data storage methods such as sharding, partitioning and data modelling
• Provide thought leadership, strategy and lead innovation by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking and implementing data centric technologies for the platform
• Develop data architectural strategies at the modeling, design and implementation stages to address product requirements
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with programming on Hadoop based distributed systems (e.g. MapReduce, Hive, Hbase, Pig, Flume)
• Expert level experience architecting, building, maintaining, and performance tuning Enterprise grade Hadoop store
• Experience building and managing Big Data SQL Database like Exadata.
• Expert level understanding of Hadoop HDFS and MapReduce framework internals
• 5+ years of work experience in development with Java/J2EE and Databases to build scalable solutions
• Experience programming in Java and expert level programming Map Reduce
• Expert level hands on Java programming experience
• Expert level hands on programming experience to build Visualization and data services.
• Experience with components in Hadoop echo system (Hive, Pig, Impala, Ambari, Oozie, Sqoop, Zookeeper, Mahout)
• 5+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environment.
• Experience in building near real time analytics solutions is preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure
