Lead UI Developer
Location: Irving - TX
Duration: 12+Months
UI Designer will demonstrate theoretical and applied design skills with a strong understanding of trending design, best practices, and design patterns across web and mobile platforms. You will be the creative outlet for all of the Client CTO mHealth product offerings. Your design solutions will be influenced by working closing with a User Experience Architect to articulate the UX strategy into creative solutions and user interfaces. You will produce high fidelity prototypes based on ideal and extreme use cases to demonstrate flexibility and creativity in your design solution and be able to clearly explain and defend the solutions you create.??
Responsibilities
• Design web and mobile applications and products which work well in all desktop and mobile browsers by using responsive design?
• Solid understanding of HIG guidelines for mobile native applications (iOS and Android)?
• Collaborate with product team and UX Architect(s) to understand business objectives and user needs?
• Iteratively refine designs based on feedback from product teams, UX team, business stakeholders, or clients?
• Understand the difference between dated, current, and trending design and drive the product’s identity and create an emotional attachment to the end user?
• Take the lead on design strategy, and ensure we properly use design to establish patterns and maintain consistency through the product across web and mobile.?
• Pixel manage your design, but know when to move on.?
• Make our product be the benchmark for how people in our industries do design – set the standard?
• Love doing design every day
Requirements
• 5+ years professional experience as a Visual / UI Designer?• Excellent understand of design patterns for web and mobile?
• Have an eye for what is good design and what is bad design?
• User-centered design focus?
• Willing to take risk and provide innovative / creative solutions?
• Excellent understanding of color, typography, layout and iconography and experience in designing for both web and mobile products.?
• Proficient with current versions of Adobe Creative Suite and design tools?
• Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects at the same time, prioritizing workload whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.?
• Ability to give feedback and come up with solutions to solve design and usability issues.?
• Results oriented with a demonstrated ability work under pressure while maintaining a flexible attitude.?
• High level of initiative with a creative perspective to problem solving.?
• Able to work independently, and as part of a team.?• Highly motivated and takes pride in what's crafted?• Online portfolio of projects?
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills?• Solid understanding of interaction design?
• A good understanding of HTML5, JQuery and Javscript is a plus.?
• This NOT a developer roleNeed
LAPTOP REQUIREMENTS:
MAC, 8 gigs of RAM, i7 or i5 processor, 500 gigs of space minimum, 15 inch display minimum, 3rd / 4th Gen Intel Core processor
• 1 external display / monitor - 24 inches minimum
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign) - this has a cloud lisence they can leverage
• Microsoft Office (plus Outlook)
• External drive to backup work
