Title: Java Developer
Location: Norwalk, CT
Duration: 1 Year
Job Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience in the following areas:
· Design and development using object oriented and component oriented techniques.
· Java - Server Side application development including J2EE technologies and SOA
· Ability to lead integration and troubleshooting efforts upon project delivery (post development);
· Developing solutions for performance, reliability and scalability in Linux/Java environments.
· XML technologies
· Web applications development skills
· Databases – Working knowledge of SQL and databases (Oracle / MySql)
· Unix/Linux – Working knowledge
· Experience with agile software development methodologies
· Experience with continuous integration build process
· Experience working with various teams to troubleshoot
· Experience working with open APIs and cloud-based systems a plus
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, code, test, build, deploy, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software
· Effectively communicate and maintain relationships with team participants across organizational boundaries
· Coordinate with database administration and middleware infrastructure groups within a project.
· Work with other technical staff to understand problems with software then develops specifications and estimates to resolve them.
· Excellent oral and written communication.
· Proven customer service skills.
· Proven ability to write clear and concise technical documents.
· Proven ability to clearly document processes and procedures.
· Proven ability to complete tasks or project assignments with minimal supervision.
· Must be adaptable, flexible, organized, detail oriented, work well in a team environment, and have a strong drive for success.

Title: Java Developer

Job Qualifications
· 2+ years' experience designing and implementing outstanding custom J2EE/JAVA applications.
- Extensive knowledge of various design patterns.
- Proficient at implementing complex business logic requirements for large-scale consumer-facing applications; i.e., high volume, complex calculations, and (or) high availability (24/7).
- Firm understanding of Java application servers
- Experience designing and implementing applications utilizing Oracle/MySQL
- Proficiency with common open source Java frameworks – ie Spring
- Experience building open APIs using standard protocols, like SOAP, JSON
- Experience with integrating third party APIs and implementing API security – ie OAuth
- Experience building and executing unit tests
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, code, test, build, deploy, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software
· Integrate system components including third party APIs
- Interacting with customers to gather and analyze the technical requirements.
- Managing delivery of functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, availability, reliability and security.
- Delivering and/or coordinating technical training and mentorship to the development team.
- Act as the escalation point for the development and QA team for technical or design issues.
- Be aware of emerging or new technologies/standards in the industry and determine if they are applicable to the project.
- Review the requirements for any new functionality or enhancements, assess impact on the project timeline and update the technical documentation for any new requirements which need to be incorporated into the system.
