We are looking for Cognos experience from a team lead, development, and administration perspective. They need to have experience with the latest version of Cognos (10.x) and experience with a Cognos upgrade. They need to have excellent communication skills. They need to have dimensional data modeling experience (including experience with Star Schema and cubes) and excellent SQL skills. They need to have managed a small team (at least 3-5 members). Experience with Java, Websphere, and Red Hat Linux is a plus.
Engagement Description:
Client is currently seeking a Consultant Associate with experience in Cognos development/leadership. The ideal individual will have 8+ years of industry experience, obtained a degree, and be responsible for successful technical delivery of Reporting Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects using a formal project management methodology. They will also have experience with enterprise architecture, business analytics, deep data analysis, IBM Cognos technology, business support and health care industry.

Has experience with Cognos Administration:
Configuration and performance tuning of Cognos with IBM WebSphere
Experience with deploying Cognos in a distributed Red Hat Linux or Solaris UNIX environment
Experience with resource groups and load balancing
Capable of conducting analysis on reporting data sources, reverse engineering of existing systems by him/her self as well as providing guidance and direction to the team.

Required Skills/Experience
Minimum eight (8) years related Data Warehouse, Information Management experience.

Experience in one or more of major BI Reporting tools such as Business Objects, SAP BW, Hyperion, SAS and their administration

Experience in one or more of major ETL tools such as Informatica, Datastage, SAS and their administration

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
Master's Degree in related field preferred.
