Role: Back End PHP Developer

Location: NYC, NY

Duration: Long Term

 

Responsibilities:

·         5 years of PHP experience

·         Knowledge of PHP 5.3+

·         Experience in MVC frameworks, specifically Zend 2

·         Understanding of unit testing and why it's important

·         Good understanding of web application security

·         Someone who can think on their feet and really contribute to the architecting our software

·         Design patterns: understand what they are and used them in practice

·         Good understanding of SQL databases, specifically MySQL

·         Ability to work on Linux

·         Other pluses: composer, NoSQL experience (ideally MongoDB), Amazon Web Services

 

This role is 100% backend development, so I'm not looking for HTML, CSS or JavaScript development experience, although these skills are frequently paired with PHP. These skills are nice bonuses, but I'll only be asking about their PHP experience.
