Threadneedle Asset Management is a subsidiary of client located in the UK. Since its acquisition, Threadneedle has maintained a separate operation of G/L, AP, Asset Management and Billing functions. Client has initiated a project to consolidate these processes through integrating Threadneedle onto the PeopleSoft enterprise finance systems, which currently do not support a global operation. Ensure technology solutions are designed to deliver required functionality across a global user group and to meet system up-time requirements.
Description:
Drive deliverables across a multi-work stream, geographically disperse program to ensure foreign processing capabilities and global operational readiness is achieved.
Coordinate across work stream teams to ensure business processes and technology solutions incorporate functional needs to address all required foreign processing capabilities, including VAT/GST, revaluation, measurement, foreign currency payments, and foreign currency billing.
Guide the program and work stream owners on best practices for foreign exchange setup's, reporting, multi-currency accounting, recommendations for process or solution improvements, etc.
Ensure technology solutions are designed to deliver required functionality across a global user group and to meet system up-time requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate across workstreams to define and approve requirements relating to global operation
• Gain alignment with process and work stream owners on requirements, process designs, and technology solutions
• Obtain and propagate awareness of cross-work stream dependencies, and ensure dependencies are coordinated across workstreams to avoid issues
• Consult on design for technology solutions and processes
• Establish traceability tools to ensure testing across the workstreams addresses all multi-currency and global operational needs and requirements
• Provide support to Threadneedle resource in the understanding and adoption of system solutions and processes
Qualifications
• Global PeopleSoft Financials Expert with multi currency functional experience.
• PeopleSoft 8.9 or higher preferred
• 10 + Experience AR/Billing and of PeopleSoft GL, AP, & FA in a global multi currency environment.
• Experience executing PeopleSoft configuration changes to adopt foreign currency processing, or equivalent experience overseeing the tactical configuration/execution.
• Knowledge of USGAAP (SFAS #52), IFRS (IAS 21) etc. Experience with Local GAAP requirements and familiarity with how accounting in various countries differ from that described in SFAS #52.
• Experience with integrating foreign tax functions, familiarity with foreign tax rules.
• Experience with Corporate, multi-state, indirect and VAT/GST tax processes and corresponding PeopleSoft functional capabilities.
• Experience with other Tax technology solutions as interfaces (such as Vertex, Sabrix, Taxware, OEBT, etc.)
•Experience implementing Treasury functions in a global model, and familiarity with requirements and regulations that would drive solutions for foreign treasury process definitions.
• CPA designation or equivalent experience and exposure to Accounting Practices • Experience with a large Global ERP integration is preferred.
