Job Description :
The capability to perform the functions described in Section 13, Scope of Work;
Strong knowledge with five (5) years' experience using Oracle 11g with PL/SQL in a Windows based environment and strong knowledge with experience using SQLServer 2014;
Three (3) years' experience in business and technical requirements gathering and translating those requirements into effective data design;
Five (5) years' experience in the implementation of data marts, data mart lifecycles, and systems using data marts is essential;
Three (3) years knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Suite (OBIEE, 11g); Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), TOAD is essential;
Five (5) years knowledge of PC-based data tools (MS Excel, MS Access and XML file formats); and
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS DESIRED – listed in order of importance
Desirable knowledge with experience using Oracle 12c; and
An understanding of transportation systems and public safety principles will be beneficial.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The scope of services will be to analyze the current Nevada Citation and Accident Tracking System (NCATS) model and re-design and implement an updated model with improvements to data collection and data management, database and data mart design, and the associated system and application interfaces.
There will be approximately 70% development and 30% data modeling. The 70% comes from the re-engineering/discovery/redesign that needs to be done.
The agency uses Oracle Data Integrator (aka ODI) for ETL purposes. The agency uses Toad and SQL Developer for data modeling purposes.
