Our Westbrook, Maine client is seeking a strong Oracle/SQL Server DBA for a six-month contract, (extensions likely) to join a team of and work on customer facing database systems.

In this role you'll:
- Perform all configuration and maintenance functions
- Resolve database user issues
- Manage database accounts
- Perform operations quickly with minimal impact on database downtime
- Follow all change management procedures
- Contribute to 24x7 on call rotation - 1x every 4 weeks
Essential Skills:
- 10+ years Oracle RDBMS
- 3+ years of experience with MS SQL Server
- Installation, patching, upgrading, configuration, management and troubleshooting databases
- Manage databases in their entirety
- Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control (OEM)
- Shell Scripting, SQL, ANSI or other standard SQL/DDL
- Database tuning, backup / recovery
- Linux and Windows Operating System
Nice to Have:
- BS / BA in applicable field
- Exceptional communication skills
- SQL Server Always On
- Oracle OEM administration
