Scope of Work:
- Skillset: C++, Linux, RedHat, Python, OS
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with developing application using C++ and Python
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Linux (RedHat/Fedora/CentOS) operating system and the Linux Kernel
- Ability to install Linux Redhat/CentOS on off the shelf hardware (Laptops)
- Experience with solving Linux hardware/software integration problems
- Experience with writing shell scripts
- Experience with building applications using make and troubleshooting problems
Job Profile:
- Sustaining Engineer with a strong Information Technology background who is passionate about troubleshooting and solving problems in complex software to join our exciting and fast-paced development team.
- Tool set includes Linux (RedHat/Fedora/CentOS), RPM, Git, CMake, C++, Python, OpenGL, GLSL, OpenCL, and Qt.
Job Description:
- Investigate problems found by customers and propose solutions in an efficient and responsive manner
- Troubleshooting or fix problems with device drivers or kernel updates driven by new hardware or updates to existing hardware
- Conduct and or participate in requirements reviews, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts.
- Collaborate with the team and ensure commitments are agreed, reviewed and met
- Implement high quality bug fixes and minor enhancements
- Design, implement and execute automated or manual test cases
- Document impact of code changes on release and contribute to risk assessment
- Develop patch releases
- Experience rebuilding RPM's
- Experience with Kernel Modules
- Provide guidance and technical assistance as needed
- Develop and maintain installation of configuration procedure
- Passion for learning about our product
Specialized or Practical Knowledge:
C++ Sustenance Engineer:
- Medical Domain background is expected as earlier profiles got rejected due to this reason.
- Linux (RedHat/Fedora/CentOS), RPM, Git, CMake, C++, Python, OpenGL, GLSL, OpenCL, and Qt.
