Our client in the south metro is seeking a highly skilled, creative and energetic web professional for a contract position on their Web & New Media Team. As a Front End Developer you will provide web design expertise and client side/front end coding as part of a collaborative team, using your skills to improve our web and mobile user experience.
They are looking for someone who:
• Has creative passion and talent for designing and delivering user friendly, intuitive solutions for both informational/marketing content and complex transactional applications
• Can implement key projects in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Will collaboratively evolve our usability and accessibility best practices, processes and standards
• Work closely with web content specialists, user experience designers and web/Java developers to support our UX standards
• Explore new technology, coding practices and overall web standards
• Participate in cross-functional web architecture forums and code reviews
• Create reusable solutions and tools that can be adapted to various UX design needs
• Deliver dynamic interactive prototypes implemented in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at different levels of the organization
• Work independently under general prioritization and guidance of the Manager of Web & New Media
• Contribute to a collaborative environment between the Web & New Media, Web Business Planning and EC Web teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3 to 5 years of front end development and/or architecture experience.
• Advanced skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office suite.
• Creative passion and talent for designing and delivering branded, user friendly, intuitive information architecture, workflow modeling, and layout for complex transactional applications as well as informational/marketing content.
• Knowledge of the wide range of viewports from desktop, slate to mobile and the impact the viewport has on usability and architecture.
• Knowledge of industry standard for UX design and front end development.
• Attention to detail, excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in UX Design, Information Architecture, Web Design, Interactive Design or a related field.
• Experience with Visio, Axure, Omnigraffle, Balsalmiq, Mockingbird or similar tools.
• Experience in development of web applications for mobile devices.
• Experience using Oracle UCM Site Studio.
• Foundation in visual design, information architecture and user interface best practices, including design for search engine optimization and accessibility.
