UI Developer

· Seeking UI Developer to assist in mobile app project.
· Project Overview: We are building a mobile and tablet app using Cordova. The app will be built for Android OS and iOS. The framework is built using Backbone.js using HTML templating using Handlebars running tasks with grunt.js with support of node.js
Skills include:
· Responsive Web Development: Build css framework to be operational across multiple devices, operating systems, and browsers. Understand limitations of certain browsers (i.e Android 4.0 to 4.4, iOS 6-8).
· Object Oriented/Modular CSS: Write css using object oriented and modular methods. Code must be modular, reusable, and responsive.
· SASS/LESS: Experience in working with a pre-created SASS/LESS framework or have created a SASS/LESS framework in the past.
· Image Optimization: Understand how to create sprites, how to code for retina images, and how to use SVG images.
· Debug: Must understand how to debug device specific problems, operating system specific problems, and/browser specific problems. An issue could arise based on device type, Android, iOS, or even between different operating system versions (iOS7 vs. iOS8), and/or browser (chrome/safari/different webkit versions). Developer must be able to drill down and find issue.
· Javascript/Jquery: Developer is able to understand basic javascript/jquery principles. Can write prototypes if necessary. Recognize javascript/jquery issues in app.
· Framework: Experience working in backbone.js using handlebars, grunt.js, and node.js would be excellent but not required. If developer has written code or worked in other Javascript frameworks like ember, angular, etc and used other templating like mustache.js also a plus. Understand how to use GIT.
