Business Systems Analyst

Business Systems Analyst
As a Business Systems Analyst, the candidate will define and document business and functional application/system requirements to support the mobile business. Specifically, the candidate will assist in the creation of an activation system used in all Best Buy Store locations. This position works very closely with a middleware team that provides services (API's) used to communicate with various internal and external partners
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with and foster good working relationships with the business and integration partners
· Participate in and facilitate JAD sessions
· Business process modeling (as-is and to-be)
· Requirements documentation
· User interface design
· API Mapping
· UML activity diagramming
· Review test cases and test scripts
· Review application to validate that requirements are met
· Work closely with onshore and offshore development teams
Must Have Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience writing requirements for large system integration projects as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
- Technologies: Axure, SDLC, (XML, XSD or APIs)
- Experience working in a large corporate environment
- Experience working in extremely fast-paced environments
- Experience in wireless/telecom, subscription services, or retail point of sale.
- Application UI design (web and/or desktop)
- Writing use cases and activity diagrams
- Experience validating system behavior against requirements
- Usability lab experience – designing sessions and formulating actions based upon results
- Experience working with offshore development teams
· Experience with various development methodologies.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with Java
- Experience delivering applications for mobile devices
· Ability to Read and Interpret XML, XSDs, or APIs
· Experience in Agile/Scrum environment
Soft Skills:
· Self-assured and confident disposition
· Self-sufficient/self-starter and works well with little direction/takes initiative
· Fast/efficient while producing high-quality work
- Asks many questions and is very analytical
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
· Adept at collaborating with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
